Airflow Through Schedule 40 Steel Pipe
The tables in this section provide the air pressure drop in pounds per square inch for a 100 foot length of Schedule 40 Steel Pipe. For lengths other than 100 feet, the pressure drop is proportional to the ratio of difference in lengths.
Example:
- For 50 feet of pipe the pressure drop will be approximately one-half the value given in the table.
- For 300 feet of pipe the pressure drop will be approximately three times the value given in the table.
