Can I use a Stay Set Hose on a Safety Air Gun?

Yes, Stay Set Hoses can be used on Soft Grip Safety Air Guns with 1/4" or 1/8" NPT Super Air Nozzles attached.

Can I use a Stay Set Hose with an Air Amplifier?

Yes, EXAIR Stay Set Hoses can be used with smaller sizes of our Air Amplifiers. Please contact an Application Engineer to discuss your specific requirements.

Can I use a Stay Set Hose with an Air Knife?

Yes, EXAIR Stay Set Hoses can be used with smaller sizes of our Air Knives. Please contact an Application Engineer to discuss your specific requirements.

Can I use a Vortex Tube to cool my electrical enclosure instead of a Cabinet Cooler?

Yes, Cabinet Coolers are simply engineered Vortex Tubes for the specific purpose of cooling a cabinet. Vortex Tubes will perform the same as a Cabinet Cooler but there are distinct advantages to using the Cabinet Cooler for this application.

  • Cabinet Coolers are available in models that are UL Listed to maintain the NEMA integrity of electrical panels. Vortex Tubes do not provide this level of protection.
  • Cabinet Coolers have built in sound attenuation.
  • Cabinet Coolers have a built in vent to allow warm panel air to escape from the cabinet.
  • Cabinet Coolers are pre-set for maximum refrigeration and the setting cannot be changed. Vortex Tubes can be field adjusted, this leaves them susceptible to mis-adjustment and inefficient operation.

Can I use any of your Air Nozzles or Air Jets with a Stay Set Hose?

Yes, EXAIR Stay Set Hoses are engineered to work seamlessly with EXAIR Safety Air Nozzles and Air Jets.

Can I use the Reversible Drum Vac with a vessel which is larger than 55 gallons?

Yes, the Reversible Drum Vac will simply require more time to pressurize a larger vessel and push the liquid out. Caution: the Reversible Drum Vac will produce up to 5 psig internal pressure, make sure your vessel is rated more than 5 psi burst strength.

Can I use the Reversible Drum Vac with other fluids/chemicals besides coolant?

Yes, chemicals other than coolant may be suitable for use with the Reversible Drum Vac. Contact an Application Engineer for a list of the materials of construction for the various Reversible Drum Vac components. This will allow you to determine if the specific chemical you are using will be suitable for use with the Reversible Drum Vac components.

Can I use your products with nitrogen or other gases?

Yes, EXAIR products can be used with any inert gas.

Can I vacuum dry materials with your Reversible Drum Vac?

No, the Reversible Drum Vac is designed as a liquid vacuum. Dry materials are vacuumed using our Chip Vac or Heavy Duty Dry Vac.
