Adjustable E-Vacs replace noisy, maintenance intensive vacuum pumps

A food processing facility makes cans for their products from thin steel sheets. A pair of vacuum cups lifts them into a feeder to cut, form & roll into those cans, feeding them at a rate of up to 90 sheets a minute. The vacuum pump was loud, hot, and broke down several times a year. They eliminated the repair costs and the unplanned shutdowns by installing two Model 840008M Adjustable E-Vac Vacuum Generators on one machine, for proof of concept. After a successful trial, they outfitted their three other can making machines with these E-Vacs, saving over $3,000.00 a year in repair costs and lost production due to the shutdowns. They also provide a more comfortable environment for the operators, as they are much quieter and don't generate heat like the vacuum pump did.
