Cabinet Coolers Keep Rudder Controls Cool on Board Ships
Customer builds control systems to allow various levels of positioning for large sea-going vessels. In this case, the customer has control cabinets located in the stern of the ship which are subjected to high temperature conditions due to locations to which the ship will sail. The customer has decided to use EXAIR Model 4815SS-240 Cabinet Cooler Systems to control the temperature of those cabinets to prevent any failure due to over temperature condition. There are 4 control cabinets per ship and one cabinet cooler will be mounted onto each of those cabinets. If the controls were to go out for any reason, the ship will lose its ability to maintain position, which with a large, sea-going vessel can be a very large problem indeed.
