Camera Cooling - vision systems

Customer designs and builds vision systems. In this application they had installed a camera to monitor a furnace. The heat that radiated from the furnace cooked their camera. Before installing a new camera they needed a method of cooling. EXAIR suggested an insulative bag around the camera. The bag had a reflective silver surface to protect against radiant heat. Then using a Model 3230 Vortex Tube with its cold end inserted through the bag, ambient temperatures inside surrounding the camera were maintained well below the operating temperatures the camera was designed for.
