Cleaning Spark Plug Boots Prior to Inspection

An injection molder is manufacturing spark plug boots. They have an automated inspection process that tests durometer and imperfections. Coming out of a vibratory bowl feeder they become charged with static and it attracts contaminants that show up as rejects. They have an operator manually blowing them off prior to inspection and also sorting through the rejected parts to verify that it was not contaminants that caused the rejection. A Model 112006 6" (152mm) Super Ion Air Knife cleaned the parts automatically and eliminated the need for the operator to clean and inspect.
