Cooling a Chuck For An Interference Fit

A company manufactures cutting tools. They make an interference fit tool chuck to accept a tool. They heat the ID of the chuck to expand it so it will accept the tool. The water cooling system that was in place would not accommodate some of their tool configurations. The low cost Model 120022 2" (51mm) Super Air Amplifier allowed them to design several cooling stations. This freed up the tool seating fixture to do another tool while the others were cooling, increasing production as well as the ability to do all of their tool configurations.
