Cooling Fiberglass Resin Molds to Prevent Distortion
Customer makes custom fiberglass bodies and forms. When laying up the fiberglass, the heat generated by the resins causes the mold to distort. Using (3) Model 120022 2" (51mm) Super Air Amplifiers the inner side of the layup mold was flooded with air to take away the excess heat. By experimenting with the positioning of the units, they were also able to distribute the growth evenly, providing an even better lay up than before.
