Cooling Fluorescent Light Tubes

A lighting company manufactures various lengths and shapes of fluorescent tubes. They must heat up the ends of the glass tubes in order to press on metal end caps. The heat buildup on the fixture that holds the end caps is causing the parts attached to the caps to warp and render the light tube ineffective. They are using a number of Model 110006 6" (152mm) Super Air Knives with a .005" gap to blow air on the fixtures to bring them down from 400°F. They have eliminated any problems.
