Cooling Plastic Parisons
Company manufactures plastic bottles. They buy preformed plastic bottles, heat them up, and form them into various shapes requested by their customers. When the form is removed from the bottle, cooling has to be applied so that it can retain its shape when moved to the next forming station. Not the entire bottle needs to be cooled, just the area that has been formed. When the bottle is moved to the next station, another forming operation is performed on another area of the bottle. The Model 110003 3" (76mm) Super Air Knife enabled zone cooling of just the area that this customer needed. This eliminated the need to preheat the area for the next station and eliminated scrap due to the bottle losing its form.
