Drying A Dye For Pipe Inspection

EXAIR's customer manufactures large diameter pipe inspection systems to check for cracks, defects, bad welds, etc. The process requires wetting the pipe with water and spraying any defect with a dye. The dye area must be blown dry for the dye to stick. They have outfitted the inspection system with a Model 110006 6" (152mm) Super Air Knife to provide the needed blow off and drying so the pipe may be marked with dye to indicate a defect.
