Dust Blowing in a Foundry

After molding steel valve bodies, the customer allows them to cool and then runs them through a bead blasting cabinet to remove any scale, corrosion and other foreign matter. Dust ends up settling onto the casting after the process and the customer needs to clean that dust off before removing the casting to the next process. The casting has a lot of features that need to be cleaned, so the customer has chosen to use 8 pieces of Model 8194 Ion Air Jet along with stay set hoses of various lengths to accomplish the goal of blowing the casting down with ionized air. The customer is using the Ion Air Jet because the air they use is very dry and with the large amount of friction built up from the blasting process, the customer wanted to go in this direction to make sure the casting was as clean as it could be.
