Eliminating Condensation on a Glass Vision Port for Flue Gas Monitoring

The customer manufactures what are called "cross stack monitors". These monitors are placed across the exhaust stacks for a variety of industrial applications. The cross-stack monitors use a laser to shoot through the material in the stack. To do this, a vision port is installed on opposite sides of the stack. The problem is that condensation will usually form on the inside of the vision port. So, the customer is using the hot end of a Model 3210 Vortex Tube to purge the inspection port. This unit works very well to keep condensation from forming on the inspection port so the laser can make accurate readings. Before installing the Vortex Tube hot air purge, the customer was dealing with constant mis-reads with their system.
