Eliminating Contamination In Catalytic Convertor Honeycomb Material

A catalytic converter manufacturer is extruding the catalytic refractory and cutting it into sections. Small shavings cling to the cut edge. If these are not removed before it is fired, they weld to the surface and cannot be removed without a handwork buffing operation. The buffing, in turn, introduces dust inside the honeycomb chamber that must be blown out. They have installed a Model 120024 4" (102mm) Super Air Amplifier to blow through the honeycomb chambers after it has been cut. This has eliminated the small shavings and any of the buffing and additional blow off.
