Eliminating Static Inside Feed Hopper

A North American based company manufactures color and additive concentrates for the plastics industry. Their concentrates and compounds are used in agriculture applications, such as mulch film, greenhouse and nursery films and pipe as well as in environmental systems such as geomembrane sheet. They are feeding color pellets into a feed hopper. Static electricity is causing the parts to adhere to the surfaces and not free flow. Blowing ionized air on the pellets with a Model 112012 12" (305mm) Super Ion Air Knife as they entered into the feed tube removed all traces of static electricity enabling the full charge of pellets to freely flow into the hopper.
