High Power Line Vacs move conveyance lines upward

A steel plant installed a Model 141100SS-316 1 NPT Threaded 316SS Line Vac to feed powdered flux into a casting process. They initially ran the conveyance pipe across the floor, but quickly realized this was a trip hazard for operators, so they wanted to move the piping overhead. They contacted EXAIR for advice on how to do this, and still maintain the desired conveyance rate, as the effects of gravity would necessarily slow it down in a 12ft vertical lift. I recommended drilling out the holes in the Line Vac's Generator to increase conveyance performance to match that of a 1" Heavy Duty Line Vac. This allowed them to maintain the required material flow rate in the elevated conveyance pipe. Future installations will incorporate the use of HP141100-316 High Power 1 NPT Threaded 316SS Line Vacs (the "HP" prefix means that we modify the Line Vac Generators at the factory).
