In-Line High Vacuum E-Vac solves workholding problem in tool and die shop
A tool & die shop was designing a workholding fixture to hold a raw block of steel during a series of complex machining, drilling, and cutting evolutions. The fixture consisted of two flat surfaces with o-ring sealed vacuum ports that were at an angle corresponding to the flat surfaces of the block that weren't being worked. A Model 810023M In-Line High Vacuum E-Vac Vacuum Generator was selected to pull vacuum on those ports, holding the block securely.
