Ion Air Cannon Eliminates Static Cling In Synthetic Yarn Stripper

A leading producer of synthetic yarns had a static charge problem with their yarn stripper. Up to 50 strands of polyester filament yarn run through a series of pulleys and guides before being discharged into a cardboard drum. The static charge was causing the strands to be attracted to sides of the drum, accumulating quickly at the lip, causing an "overflow" problem while the drum was still literally empty! A Model 8492 Ion Air Cannon Kit was installed, blowing ionized air into the drum, tangentially spiraling down, which eliminates the static, and carries the yarn filaments to the bottom of the drum, allowing for complete filling of the drum, every time.
