Ion Air Gun Removes Lint Before Laminating Automotive Safety Glass
This customer manufacturers safety glass by laminating polyvinyl butyral (PVB.) After a manual cleaning process, some lint always remained on the PVB and the glass. It then became fused into the finish inside the laminating oven, which would ruin the quality of the glass on a compound curved automotive glass product. To solve this problem, the customer started using a Model 8293 Ion Air Gun w/Power Supply to blow off the glass after the manual cleaning process, which eliminated the lint problem, ensuring high quality, defect-free windshields.
