Keep things cool in smelting oven
An aluminum smelting oven had hot spots that reached temperatures to 350°C on the outside. To protect the oven from premature failure, they had to cool these areas with air. They created a manifold with a homemade nozzles with a 3.6mm drilled hole to cool a section of the oven. Each nozzle was using 597 SLPM at 4.4 bar. A Model 1100SS Super Air Nozzle replaced each nozzle which only used 327 SLPM at 4.4 bar; saving 270 SLPM per nozzle.
