Line Vac Grabs Corn Meal Sample
A manufacturer of corn meal ships it's product to long term grain silos using rail cars. When the rail cars arrive they need to provide a small sample to a lab to test the corn meal for moisture and quality. The sample is about a pint of corn meal and needs to be transferred 100' from the rail car to the lab. EXAIR sold the customer a Model 161150-316 1-1/2" (38mm) Sanitary Flange Line Vac to convey the sample corn meal from the rail car to the lab. It is a simple fix which has replaced a manual operation and prevents a lab tech from scooping the sample out of the container or off of the ground. It improves reliability of the sample and decreases the time it takes to grab a sample.
