Line Vac Removes Dust and Debris Directly From Drilling Operation 

A sand casting company is drilling some holes into the green sand before making the cast. They needed to remove the dust and debris created from the drilling operation so it did not affect the quality of the final part. Any dust or debris left on the casting will show up in the final part. They were looking for a solution that would remove the debris right as it was created by the drill bit to prevent any secondary operations to make sure the casting was clean. The EXAIR Model 6981 1" (25mm) Line Vac kit was installed to be in close proximity of the drilling operation in order to pull the debris directly from the operation and into the Line Vac which then deposited it in a large bulk container. This has eliminated the secondary cleaning operation and defects on the final part.
