Micro Air Nozzles Reduce Noise, Eject Parts From Mold
This injection mold machine manufacturer designed a machine with an automated transfer system for the plastic milk bottles it made. When a bottle came out of the mold, it was ejected into a vacuum transfer line using a fabricated round copper pipe with grease zerks for nozzles. The end user was dissatisfied because it was horrendously loud and consumed an enormous amount of compressed air. EXAIR suggested replacing the array of grease zerks with (3) Model 1010SS Micro Air Nozzles. Sound levels were reduced to an acceptable (and OSHA compliant) level, and air consumption was reduced by 60%.
