NEMA 4X Cabinet Cooler Systems Provide Durable and Reliable Heat Protection in Paper Mill

An electrical contractor was tasked with finding a durable and reliable cooling solution for electrical control panels for the oscillating showers in a paper mill. Due to their proximity to the process, these panels are exposed to water spray and airborne contaminants like pulp and paper dust. Based on Cabinet Cooler Sizing Guide data, we specified a Model 4708 NEMA 4 Continuous Operation Cabinet Cooler System rated for 550 Btu/hr. The contractor installed one for proof of concept; it worked so well the paper mill ordered four more to outfit their other showers. With no moving parts to wear, or electrical components to burn out, these NEMA 4X Cabinet Cooler Systems are impervious to the environmental contaminants that make the use of other equipment (like refrigerant based panel air conditioners) impractical.
