Noise and Energy Conservation

Company manufactures cement siding for homes. Before uncured sheets of cement fabric are put into a bake oven, the surface needs to be free of all debris, otherwise it gets baked on and creates a reject. They were using blowers but could only remove 75% of tramp particulate. Also, they could not shut the blowers off between sheets, wasting energy and creating a noise problem. Using two of the Model 110024 24" (610mm) Super Air Knives mounted in a chevron configuration over the moving cement sheet, they were able to remove all the debris. They also achieved drastically reduced sound levels, and eliminated maintenances issues associated with blowers. Being able to turn the air knives off between cycles, they saved energy as well.
