Regenerating Filter Beds

This customer has several sand filter beds. Periodically they have to be cleaned out and recharged. Where they were located made them difficult to get to with any kind of mechanized equipment. The customer was filling small totes with sand, wheeling them up to the beds, dumping the load and raking it level. Using a Model 150200 2" (51mm) Heavy Duty Line Vac they were able to directly transfer the sand from a super sack over to the filter bed. Moving the hose with a sweeping action they were able to level fill the bed with minimal raking. This was a safety improvement and reduced the time to regenerate a bed by 50%.
