Small Vortex Tube Cools Glass Cutting Laser
This customer was laser etching and cutting sheets of glass. They utilized a Model 3202 Small Vortex Tube, 135 BTU/hr, Maximum Refrigeration fitted with a Model 3905 Cold Muffler and a Model 5901 Single Outlet Hose Kit to direct the cold air stream at the etching/cutting point. Keeping the temperature of the process down allowed them to take a faster cut. It also resulted in a better surface finish on the etching.
