Stainless Steel Line Vacs take pet food to new heights

A contractor for a pet food plant was tasked with design and implementation of a conveyor system to move dry pet food from ground level to an overhead hopper, 30 feet up. Instead of a chain driven bucket elevator, which would have cost at least $10,000, not including the complex installation cost, they instead used two Model 6067 4" Stainless Steel Line Vacs. One was installed installed near the point of suction on the production floor. They ran a 20ft length of hose vertically from it to the second Line Vac. This system was a fraction of the cost of the bucket elevator, and took about two hours to install.
