Super Air Knife Directs and Contains Product
This large manufacturer of comfort cushioning includes the production of polyester fiber used for fiber fill in pillows and bedding also filter media and furniture. The production of the fiber includes cutting the polyester strands, capturing the strands in a bulk container and moving the strands into the "padding" machine which forms the strands into a fiber web. The fibers are dropped through a 60" wide nozzle and into the pad forming machine. This customer needed to keep the fibers contained from other areas and moving in the right direction. EXAIR has provided a special 60" Super Air Knife constructed of two Model 110030, 30" (762mm) Super Air Knives. This assembly is able to cover the wide area and keep the product flowing properly, as well as keeping the area clean which has prevented the loss of time needed to clean the area.
