Super Air Knife Reduces Air Usage In Separator Cleaning
This customer was looking for a way to reduce their compressed air usage in a separator cleaning application. They were using a homemade 36" header pipe with a series of nozzles blowing through perforated sheet metal to remove fiberglass from the holes. The current system was consuming roughly 720 CFM per header - there were 2 headers per separator. They ordered and installed a Model 110236 36" (914mm) Aluminum Super Air Knife Kit, and reduced their air consumption to 104.4 SCFM, leading to a potential energy savings of over $350/week per header.
