Super Ion Air Knife Removes Static From Plastic Bottles

A large manufacturer of hand cleaning products had static problems with the plastic bottles prior to filling with hand cleaner solution. Residual static charge that the bottles picked up as they were conveyed from the extruder prevented the labels from being applied uniformly, even and straight. They installed a Model 112224 24" Gen4 Super Ion Air Knife Kit, with the Super Ion Air Knife blowing ionized air through a tunnel, immediately prior to the labeling station. In addition to solving the crooked label problem, it also eliminated all defect rejections that were occasionally caused by debris clinging to the bottles and ending up under the labels.
