Ventilating an Enclosed Space

Customer repairs linings in large silos - to protect against corrosion in chemical applications, steel silos are lined with a protective coating. Over time, ruptures occur, and the walls can rust out. A metal patch is put on, but then the lining in the area of the repair needs to be reapplied. This is a manual operation requiring a technician to enter the tank. The technician wears a respirator, but heat and fumes build up, making for a harsh work environment. A Model 120028 8" (203mm) Super Air Amplifier was used to pull fresh air into the silo, controlling the heat and fumes.
