The conveying ability is affected by many factors, some of which are: Line Vac size, input pressure, conveying distance, vertical lift required, bends in the conveying path and type of material being conveyed. Since any one of these variables can have a dramatic effect on performance, it is suggested that the Line Vac be tested in the application to verify results. EXAIR Application Engineers can help determine if the Line Vac will work based on application requirements and assist in selecting the proper size Line Vac for the application.

Generally the Line Vac should be placed within 3 feet (or closer) of the suction point. It is always easier to blow material through a hose or pipe than it is to vacuum it through. Keep in mind, this is a guideline. If it is not possible to get the Line Vac that close, then place it as close as reasonably possible to the suction point.

No, the Line Vac is not made for conveying liquids. The Line Vac will vacuum up some liquid, but not in a solid column of liquid. The liquid will mix with air and produce an output flow of atomized liquid that will spray out the end of the conveying tube.

Yes, Line Vacs can convey powder. The discharge end of the Line Vac then has the potential to be very dusty. You need to separate the bulk powder from the air moving the powder. This is normally accomplished with a filter or centrifugal separator on the containment vessel at the discharge end of the Line Vac.

Yes, EXAIR sells spiral reinforced PVC hose from 3/8" inside diameter through 3" inside diameter. This hose is connected to the Line Vac with a worm gear hose clamp which is provided with the purchase of the hose.

The Line Vac has the potential to produce a static charge caused by the material being transported.
