Yes, EXAIR manufactures a Reversible Drum Vac system with a 5 gallon capacity which includes the drum. We also manufacture a Reversible Drum Vac system for use with a 30 gallon drum which is provided by the customer.

Yes, in combination with an EXAIR air nozzle Air Guns meet the OSHA dead end pressure standard 29 CFR 1910.242(b) and noise level exposure standard 29 CFR 1910.95(a). Our guns will produce full pressure at the nozzle to maximize force and velocity of the air.

Open air lines represent a serious safety issue from the standpoint of both noise levels and dead end pressures. EXAIR’s Air Nozzles will generally provide dramatically lower air consumption and noise levels for your application while maintaining OSHA-mandated dead end pressure levels. Due to the significant reduction in air consumption EXAIR nozzles may not provide the same blow-off force as an open air line while operating at the same supply pressure. Many applications do not need the high force of an open air line. If higher force is necessary, EXAIR can provide a larger nozzle to produce the necessary force while still providing OSHA safety.

The Super Air Wipe can be mounted in a variety of ways. The most common method is to use the compressed air pipe to support them. There are NPT female threads on each half into which the compressed air supply pipe can be threaded. Position the Super Air Wipe where you want and then strap the pipe into place.  Another way to mount the Super Air Wipe would be to utilize the 1/4-20 tapped holes on the bottom of the Super Air Wipe. There is about 3/8" depth of thread to use for a bracket fabricated by the customer to be bolted to the bottom of the Super Air Wipe.

EXAIR Corporation does not recommend ducting its ionization products due to the air turbulence created by the ducting and the recombination of the ions. Ducted EXAIR ionizers have been successful in applications where diminished performance was acceptable.

Yes, EXAIR Stay Set Hoses are engineered to work seamlessly with EXAIR Safety Air Nozzles and Air Jets.

The Vortex Tube is a phenomenon of physics, no one knows exactly why a Vortex Tube works. A description of how the air moves is given below:

Compressed air, normally 80-100 PSIG (5.5 - 6.9 BAR), is injected tangentially through a generator into the vortex spin chamber. At up to 1,000,000 RPM, this air stream revolves toward the hot end where some escapes through the control valve. The remaining air, still spinning, is forced back through the center of this outer vortex. The inner stream gives off kinetic energy in the form of heat to the outer stream and exits the vortex tube as cold air. The outer stream exits the opposite end as hot air.

The maximum pressure of the Air Knife (Super or Standard) is 250 PSIG. We recommend using the lowest pressure possible for the application. Always use a pressure regulator on the compressed air supply and increase pressure to the point where the application problem is solved.

The diverging airflow pattern becomes larger as the airflow moves away from the air amplifier. The increasing size of the airflow diameter means that more and more airflow becomes entrained, resulting in a much larger air volume.

The Model #9017 Thermostat includes a Model #4519 Capacitor. This .002 microfarad capacitor is wired across the leads of the thermoswitch to stop chattering. The chattering is caused by a slow change in temperature inside the enclosure. The capacitor desensitizes the thermoswitch to eliminate chattering.

SLPM stands for Standard Liters per Minute. Liters per Minute is a way to express the volume of airflow in metric terms.  1 SCFM = 28.3 SLPM.

The Siphon Fed Atomizing Nozzles can draw up to a 36" height. If drawing from a container, this means you would want the bottom of the container to be no lower than 36" below the liquid inlet to the atomizing nozzle.

No, the Line Vac is not made for conveying liquids. The Line Vac will vacuum up some liquid, but not in a solid column of liquid. The liquid will mix with air and produce an output flow of atomized liquid that will spray out the end of the conveying tube.

It is helpful to know how much air you are currently using. You can make an estimate or use our Digital Flowmeter to determine the air consumption of your system. The Digital Flowmeter is available from 3/4"-2" pipe sizes. After knowing your current air consumption you can use this calculator to determine savings.

The Reversible Drum Vac is designed to pick up liquids by creating a vacuum in any sealed-top 55 gallon drum. The Reversible Drum Vac can also empty the drum by inducing a pressure into the drum. The risk of over-pressurization is eliminated by a sensitive relief valve that is designed into the Reversible Drum Vac.
