Q) Will EXAIR Corporation Cabinet Coolers cause condensation inside our control panels?
Answer

No, the cold air produced by a Cabinet Cooler and introduced into an enclosure expands to atmospheric pressure and warms to enclosure temperature. Only if humidity from ambient air is allowed into the panel is there potential for condensation. Therefore it is imperative that all louvers and other openings are closed off.

On initial startup, the cooler will purge out the warm, moist air inside the panel. As the cool air generated from the Cabinet Cooler enters the panel it begins to pick up heat and the relative humidity drops. A continuously operating Cabinet Cooler will stabilize the relative humidity at approximately 45%. EXAIR also recommends using a 5 micron filter separator to remove any condensate from the airline.
