Air Cooling Saw Blades
Customer is an Environmental Engineering Consulting company. They help their customers find more environmentally friendly ways of doing things. One particular customer was looking to get away from using liquid coolant, because of the mess and because of the disposal processes. They were cooling large round saw blades, 1/4" thick and 10" diameter. A Model 5330 High Power Cold Gun with Dual Point Hose Kit will provide plenty of cooling for the blades and the dual point hose kit will allow the cold air to be split evenly and directed on both sides of the blade as it cuts. This provided sufficient cooling as well as eliminated the need to use liquid coolant.
