Air Nozzle Saves Air and Lowers Noise for an Ejection Application
Company manufactures roller bearings. The individual rollers of a roller bearing are placed in a multi stage grinding process to bring the roller to size. In between each grinder is an in-process gauge to determine if the roller is complete or needs to continue to be ground to size. To enter the gauge process the roller drops into a hole and enters a short ejection chute where the roller is air ejected if complete. The current air setup uses a ¼" open air line which is loud and consumes a lot of air. The customer has chosen to replace the open lines with EXAIR Model 1102 Mini Super Air Nozzles which can eject the part, lower noise and save air.
