Air Wipe Prepares Cylinder Surface For Label

One of our customers makes pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders from 1-3" outside diameter. They run the completed assemblies through a mineral spirits bath to remove any cutting oils used when cutting threads for mounting flanges and holes. They need to remove the mineral spirits in order to place a label on the finished product. They had been relying on an operator with a blow gun to do the job and wanted to reduce labor costs and time spent to remove the mineral spirits. After speaking with EXAIR about the application, they chose a Model 2433 3" (76mm) Air Wipe for the operator to place the cylinders through and activate with a foot pedal. They are successfully removing the mineral spirits in one pass and have reduced labor costs per piece by increasing the production volume.
