Belt Cleaning - limestone
Company manufactures limestone. When the belt carrying the limestone goes over the head pulley it stretches and exposes small fissures in the surface of the belt. When the belt leaves the pulley, it loses its stretch and the fissures close up and trap limestone. On the return travel of the belt, every time it passes over a support pulley, the fissures open and release limestone making a housekeeping problem. The Model 110036 36" (914mm) Super Air Knife installed at the head pulley cleared the limestone from the fissures before they had a chance to get trapped as the fissures closed, thus eliminating a housekeeping problem on the belt return.
