Cooling An Engraving Tool Tip
This customer engraves artwork in the blade of collector knives. The cutting device is similar to a dental tool with a fine cutting tip. The tip of the cutting device gets very hot and dulls prematurely. Cooling fluid cannot be used because obscures his vision of the cut. Using a Model 3808 Mini Cooler, refrigerated air eliminates heat build up, leading to increased tool life. A side benefit was that it also cleared the area of shavings.
