Cooling Nip Rolls
Customer manufactures plastic extrusions. They are having problems with a flat extrusion wanting to wrap up around the nip rolls. They tried chilled rolls but they are expensive to buy and maintain. The Model 110030 30" (762mm) Super Air Knife provided cooling which enabled the material to set and become stiffer and follow the direction of travel. Also the force from the Air Knife redirected the extrusion from the nip roll overcoming any tendency to stick to the rolls. The air knife was considerably more cost effective and easier to install and maintain.
