Cooling Tensile Testing Specimens

Company manufactures automobiles, and this facility does various types of testing, all related to the automotive industry. They are doing tensile and vibratory testing, and need to cool the ½" diameter “dogbone" test specimens during testing. A Model 5315 Cold Gun will allow them to get cold air all around the “dogbone", for even cooling.

  1. The Cold Gun Aircoolant System with two cold outlets surrounds a part to be cooled with a stream of clean, cold air at 50°F (28°C) below supply air temperature. It will remove heat to prolong tool life and increase productivity on machining operations when liquid coolants cannot be used. Systems include the Cold Gun, flexible dual point hose assembly and filter separator.
