Cooling Test Fixtures
After testing toaster heating elements, they need to be cooled quickly prior to packaging. Current procedure was to stage them on a table to air cool but this caused interruptions in the line and sometimes damage to the product. They replaced the cooling table with a belt conveyor from the test station over to the pack off station and a Model 110012 12" (305mm) Super Air Knife mounted across the conveyor blowing down the length of it. The effects of the air knife decrease in cooling time were so significant that any staging was eliminated and the process was a continuous flow from test to pack.
