Cooling Thermal Imprint

This customer manufactures thermal welding and imprinting machines for plastics. They were building a machine that thermal imprints onto a plastic web. The problem they were having is with the guide rolls accumulating heat over time and ruining the imprint. Installing a Model 5215 Cold Gun, they were not only able to prevent heat build up in the guide roll but actually chill it which helped take the heat out of the branded web. This was an unexpected advantage as the plastic strip being less pliable, the speed of the process could be ramped up.
