Cooling Welded Extrusion
Company manufactures window frames. After welding extruded channels to form a frame, they needed to cool the frame down so that it could be handled by the operator. They tried fans with less than adequate results. With the Model 110030 30" (762mm) Super Air Knife mounted above the welding fixture, the air knife is turned on for a few seconds after all welding has been completed. The design of the air knife entraining large volumes of ambient air provided more than ample cooling enabling the frame to be safely removed from the fixture by the operator.
