Decrease Rejects from Laminating Process
Customer is manufacturing a wood profile which is finished with a vinyl strip. The wood substrate needs to be clean and free of dust and debris or it shows up underneath the vinyl cover and is scrapped. They currently use a brush to remove debris but the brush wears and allows debris through to the vinyl coating process. They have chosen two of the EXAIR Air Knives, a Model 110009 9" (229mm) Super Air Knife and a Model 110003 3" (76mm) Super Air Knife, to provide a strong, effective blowoff after the brush, to remove any dust or debris which has been missed by the brush. This results in a decrease of scrap.
