Down Draft Table
Customer makes wire harnesses. Operators cut and crimp wire terminals on a long work table. The customer wanted a quick and expedient way to dispose of the wire clippings that accumulate on the table. They cut a hole in the table at each operator's station, then plumbed these together like sink drains. On the end of the run, they connected the Model 6193 Chip Vac which provided the vacuum flow for the system. The operators simply pushed the scrap pieces into the hole to have them sucked up into the Chip Vac. At the of the week the 55 gallon drum was changed out with an empty one put in its place.
