Drying Food Jars And Lids
An importer packages pickles, olives, and other food products. After packaging into the jar they are washed and pasteurized. Then they go in to storage for up to three months. The water left over from pasteurization causes rust to form on the lid/glass area of the jar. These jars must currently be rejected. They are using the Model 110012 12" (305mm) Super Air Knife to blow the lid clear of water so it does not rust during storage.
