Drying Molds for Clean Release Of Parts
A manufacturer of automotive headrests and armrests is applying mold release to aluminum tooling to help foam parts release. If the mold release is not dry a chemical reaction occurs and the foam burns. A Model 110012 12" (305mm) Super Air Knife is now being used to assure the mold release is dry before the foam is molded. They decreased burned parts from 15453 PPM to 451 PPM.
