Eliminate Static and Clean the Area for Ink Jet Printing
Company manufactures inkjet marking systems with a 4-1/2" wide print head. When this print head is shut down, it has an air ingest operation to pull the ink through the jets which keeps them clean and unclogged. They have experienced debris from the outside environment getting pulled into the ink jets and causing print quality problems. They have installed an EXAIR Model 112106 6" (152mm) Super Ion Air Knife and Power Supply to remove any debris from the surrounding area and create an air barrier when the print head goes into the air ingest mode. This prevents any external contamination of the ink jets.
